Beatification
The archdiocese of Ljubljana initiated procedures in the interest of beatification in 2003.
24 September 2018, at the 108th regular meeting of the Slovenian Bishops' Conference, there was unanimous support to begin the process for the beatification of Magdalena Gornik (Announcement by the Slovenian bishops 11/2018).
19 February 2019, the archbishop appointed Monsignor Franci Petrič postulator.
On 21 November 2021, after the necessary investigations by the Holy See, the Congregation for the Causes of Saints granted permission to begin the process of Magdalena Gornik's beatification. From this moment on, Magdalena Gornik can be officially called a Servant of God.
Let us be willing to entrust ourselves to Magdalena in our afflictions, so that God may help us through her intercession and work the miracle that she needs for her beatification.
